Desert Camp – VP Scene

Student project | 3ds max | Substance Painter | Unreal Engine

virtual production

This was a fully self-directed virtual production project where I handled the complete creative and technical process from start to finish. I modeled all assets from scratch in 3ds Max, developed the textures in Substance Painter, and brought the scene together in Unreal Engine, where I focused on world-building, lighting, composition, and final presentation.

The project was inspired by the idea of a desert shelter, a place of pause and transition for travelers before continuing their journey. That concept guided the atmosphere, the environment design, and the overall storytelling approach, allowing the scene to feel both functional and narrative-driven.

Working on this piece gave me the opportunity to strengthen my workflow across multiple stages of production while exploring how environment design can support mood, context, and visual storytelling. It also allowed me to refine my use of Unreal Engine as a final creative space, where the different elements came together into a cohesive and polished result.
